First One

Sherlock and John are summoned in Buckingham palace and Sherlock is nude under his bedsheet. This moment leads to lots of giggles in my family. Moreover Mycroft’s reaction to this fact is priceless: he acts as the oustrageous one with reasons. Sherlock is supposed to be polite and courteous when it deals with the Royal Family.

Second One

I adore the scene when Irene is first introduced to Sherlock. She succeeds in stunning him with success. Not everyone can surprise the famous sleuth in such a graceful way! He can’t speak several moments. She impresses Sherlock and she is obviously attracted by him as well.

Third One

Irene outsmarts Sherlock in her bedroom and I loved the dream scene. It is one of the best in the show. I think the Sherlock team has done an amazing job while filming this one. They proved they are among the best of the best!

Fourth One

When we discover Sherlock’s ringtone for Irene’s messages. I think Irene’s intent is quite clear. She wants him in his bed as well as seducing him.

Fifth One

I really loved the moment when Sherlock composes a song for Irene. This short moment is so romantic! Music allways swhow what leads your heart and what you feel. Sherlock has obviously strong feelings for Irene. Besides I love the piece he compses for Irene, it is great music.

Sixth One

When Sherlock saves Mrs. Hudson from those American spys. He shows that no one touches what he loves the most. Then we see how good actress the landlady is. She fools men with talent just in making them believe she is just an old woman.

Seventh One

The moment when Irene and Sherlock are alone in his livingroom. This scene is so hot. Basically she invits him in her own bed as well as a lovely date before. When their hands touch I think it is like Sherlock accepts his feelings for Irene definitively. They don’t need words to tell to each other their feelings.

Eighth One

When we discover Irene’s password for her phone. In this scene we see directly in Irene’s heart and Sherlock displays once again his brilliance. Moreover we can see Sherlock’s disappointment. Plus he is like he would have loved being with her lover yet he still have hopes for them. I think this is why he wants Irene to plead to get his help. Just to prove she has feelings for him and she is a valuable case. It might sound sexist but it isn’t. They are a couple and they challenge their couple. This is their way to prove they are true to their feelings.

Ninth One

When we discover Sherlock saves Irene in karachi. We don’t need to put wors on this scene. He admits he loves her and she is pleased to see him here. She needs help just like everyone to be able to save herself from this mess. Actually Irene needs a man’s help in order to save herself just like in the book. In this regard, Moffat and Gatiss have respected the book. Actually, they didn’t put Irene as a dominatrix in order to low her. Yet they showed she uses this job to cover her spy-like activities. She is used and she has powerful clients for sex but more importantly for her precious informations.

Tenth One

The scenes when John tries to understand what happens In Sherlock’s heart. It reminds me the book!Watson. Actually he is used as a sort of psychologist for the reader/watcher. He is created to help us to understand what is in Sherlock’s head.

Eleventh One

When John convinces Irene to warn Sherlock she is alive. In this scene John acts as a therapeutist. He has allways been a therapeutist for Sherlock anytime. He helps Sherlock to undersatnd what relations are and how good they are for people. We can say John opens Sherlock’s heart to others and he helps Sherlock to understand what feelings and emotions are. That’s why he wants so badly to see Sherlock happy with Irene and by letting Sherlock know Irene is alive.

Twelfth One

When Mycroft helps Sherlock to understand Iren’s game with him. This is a great moment when we see Mycroft is actually a sort of teacher for Sherlock. He is far cleverer than Sherlock and we see that fact in this scene. Mycrofts reminds Sherlock all his mistakes towards relations and helps him to understand a woman’s heart. This statement doesn’t lower Sherlock at all. Yet I state Sherlock is still a newbie in the world of feelings.

Thirteenth One

The morgue’s scene is quite good. Holmes’ Brothers show they share a strong bond even though they seem to argue all the time. They aren’t children and talk about relations and emotions. They have such a deep talk! They tell truths about their own world but they talk as well about average people. Indeed Sherlock as the mind of a great philosopher. They love talking about those subjects obviously. Holmes are so profound.

All in all

A Scandal in Belgravia is a masterpiece in romance as well in mystery. Irene and Sherloc form a great couple and the creator how strong andd clever this woman is. Moreover we discover new aspects of Sherlock’s heart and Sherlock is able to understand more human relations. He isn’t the cold-hearted person anymore but he fells something close to love and admiration  towards a woman.

I have allways wondered since I entered this fandom, why people hate this wonderful woman. When I say enter, this means into Internet because I am a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes since thirteen years. Moreover I have been amazed by A Scandal in Bohemia because Sherlock Holmes was capable of love and a woman was able to reach such a man heart!

Reason 1: I am a huge JohnLock Fangirl.

Okay, I understand why you love this pairing but I don’t think it was in Conan Doyle’s mind at all. Conan Doyle depicted a purely platonic relation between Sherlock and John. Besides, when Sherlock Holmes speaks about John Watson in the books, he tells John Watson is his only friend, not lover.

I know perfectly the new BBC show makes people wonder but this is purely friendship. I believe this confusion comes from other characters’ belief. They all believe they are gays but it is false.

Reason 2: I believe Sherlock Holmes is asexual.

I fear it’s false. Sherlock Holmes prefers being alone to solve his cases in a better way. In The Greek Interpreter where Mycroft Holmes is introduced, John Watson believes Sherlock Holmes is an orphan because he never speaks of family or friends. I can tell you John Watson has one of the biggest shock of his life when he learns about Mycroft Holmes’ existence.

Moreover this man prefers an antisocial life in order to keep his wonderful brain safe from this human relations. I don’t say he wants to be alone because Sherlock Holmes enjoys being with someone and talking with this person.

And in the BBC show, Sherlock Holmes tells something similar but this is the only way for him to say he prefers being alone for his work.

This scene might also mean if he meets someone interesting enough, why not?

Reason 3: Those men are gorgeous.

I understand this reason, I am a girl and I think Martin Freeman, Jude law, Robert Downey Junior and Benedict Cumberbatch are good-looking men. I understand when girls want those awesome men hanging out with themselves.

But, I am not a teenage girl anymore. I am almost 22. I know I won’t meet them personnally and I would love seeing them with someone.

Conclusion:

I think those reasons are pretty poor for hating a character so much. Conan Doyle chose this woman to reach Sherlock Holmes’ heart, make him wonder about women and the different producers and directors followed his point of view. We are just fans, watchers and readers, we have to respect, to follow the writter’s point of view

There are so many ones I can tell but those are among my favorites. Let’s say Irene is a wonderful character and her relation with Sherlock is very exciting.

BBC Sherlock

First One

Irene’s entrance in the show. She is naked and Sherlock is directly smitten by this sight. A normal guy is after all attracted to this kind of sight. I think it’s funny to see a man who claims to be married to his work falling for a woman in such a way.

Second One

When Irene comes back to life. She appears in such an amazing way to John Watson. She shows she is a powerful woman and she knows how to use her influence over people. Yet with John it doesn’t work because he isn’t impressed by her. And she accepts to send a text to Sherlock to ensure him she is alive. The music following this scene is awesome!

Third One

When Irene touches Sherlock’s hand in his own livingroom. She reaches his heart and she touches it. Moreover Sherlock is about to kiss her. She has indeed this power over him. Then the plane’s scene and the end of the episode.

Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes

First One

Irene is assaulted by thieves and she succeeds in making them beg for mercy. Besides she gets the flowers as a special price for her talent. Sherlock Holmes falls for her once again in this scene.

Second One

When Irene Adler tells she will help Sherlock Holmes in his current case. She tells illegal ways are her area of expertise. She is truly powerful and her name brings respect amongst criminals. Even Moriarty knows she is powerful.

Third One

The bridges scene. She reveals her human and weak self. She reveals her feelings for Sherlock too. This scene is pure love and epicness. I love it, it reminds me theaters’ scenes.

Conclusion

Irene is the best female character of Conan Doyle. ;)

 I really love Sherlock Holmes, he is one of the best character ever created. He has lots of wonderful moments in books and directors and producers show his awesomeness. I will try to choose three moments in Ritchie’s movie and BBC Sherlock.

BBC Sherlock

Scene 1

I choose the moment when Sherlock and John meet for the very first time. John seems to be frightened by Sherlock yet he shouldn’t… Or not? I think it’s refreshing to see a Watson being doubtful about Sherlock’s personnality.

Scene 2

I pick the moment when Sherlock guesses Iren’s password for her phone. This is brilliant and it shows Sherlock’s cleverness. Moreover it’s confirmed they have strong feelings for each other.

Scene 3

Sherlock’ farewell to John. I haven’t seen a scene which is more heartbreaking since a long while. It’s a powerful scene and we can see Sherlock needs people’s help and love.

Ritchie’s Sherlock

Scene 1

When Sherlock speaks in French. Perhaps it’s due to the fact I am French but it’s good to see the creators respect Doyle’s skillfull character. And the fight scene of course.

Scene 2

The moment when Sherlock follows Irene on the bridge. I thought they wouldn’t see each other anymore yet they see each other once again. I ship this pairing and I truly feared for both Sherlock and Irene.

Scene 3

I think it’s when Sherlock shows he has understood Blackwood plan. I think it’s a very believable explanation though a bit advanced for the time. Yet this is a movie not real History.

Conclusion

We need more Sherlock’s moments like those…

I have the impression each seasons will show us a different aspect of Sherlock Holmes’ personnality.

Season I

The writers show us Sherlock Holmes’ wonderful abilities in deducing and observing. The creators wish to make us see Holmes is a very brilliant man and he is able to solve a lots of cases. Yet he is a cold man and we see just that from him. We just see his cleverness.

Season II

In this season the creators show us Sherlock’s heart. They wat to build more his personnality, make him evolve and discover new things. Sherlock discovers Love with Adler, Fear with the Hound and Death with Reichenbach. This season is character’s developpment.

Season III

Lots of things have changed since Sherlock’s so called death. people have moved on and they still believe in Sherlock. people will react differently when they see him. I think John will be very furious, Lestrade will be doubtful, Mrs Hudson will be emotionnal. And the others will see him as a fraud or not.

Mycroft and Molly won’t be surprised, Moran will wait for him.

I have a clue this season will deal with relations’ building. Sherlowk will have to show he can be trusted and be honnest with other people. It will be the hardest task in his life. He will have to do lots of efforts to get other people’s hearts again.

I think Benedict is right here: it’s so obvious even in the books! Moreover in some novels’ descriptions, it is said Sherlock fell for Irene. Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes also was in love with Adler and Downey Junior’s too. Can we argue against that???
